Real healing for real humans
You’ve done the “hold it together” thing long enough.
Whether your pain is complex, developmental, or carried from generations before you, it doesn’t have to keep dictating your relationships — with partners, kids, friends, or yourself.

I help individuals and relationships untangle the impact of trauma so you can build connections rooted in safety, honesty, and freedom — not fear or obligation. Together, we’ll make sense of your story, meet your protector parts with compassion, and re-learn what it feels like to actually exhale.

Life is messy - especially when you’ve spent years trying to be who the world told you to be.
You might be here because:
You’re part of the LGBTQ+ community and you’re craving a space that doesn’t just tolerate who you are — it celebrates you. You want a therapist who understands identity, chosen family, and what it means to build a life that actually fits.
You’ve lived through trauma — whether it’s the kind that everyone sees or the kind that hides behind a smile. You’re ready to stop surviving and start healing, one grounded, courageous step at a time.
Your relationships feel complicated — you love deeply, but communication, trust, or connection keep getting tangled. You want to understand your patterns and build something more authentic — whether that’s with a partner, your family, or yourself.
Your brain works differently (and beautifully) — maybe you’ve been told you’re “too much,” “too sensitive,” or “not focused enough.” You want support that honors your neurodivergent wiring rather than trying to fix it.
You’re learning to make peace with your body — tired of the shame, the “shoulds,” and the war against your reflection. You’re ready to rebuild trust with your body and redefine what safety and self-care actually mean.
Whatever brought you here, you don’t have to navigate it alone. This is a space for healing, self-discovery, and rewriting the stories that kept you small.
Meet Nicki —
Real, Human & A Little Witty
Hi there, I’m Nicki Venable, LPC (she/her)

I’m what's known as an eclectic therapist. That means I've been doing this awhile (over 20 years now), have learned many methods of healing and can tailor therapy to fit your needs, not the other way around. I have a love of working with the lifespan of the human condition. If you're between the ages of 6 months to 106, I got you covered.
I laugh at the absurdities of being human, cry with my clients when the weight is heavy, and occasionally shine a flashlight on those pesky blind spots that keep you looping the same story.
Therapy with me isn’t stiff or scripted — think less lab-coat, more real-talk-with-a-map-and-snacks. (Yes my office always contains snacks and warm beverages.)
Healing isn’t about fixing you; it’s about helping you rise from the ashes in your own unapologetic way.
